Blackhole MAT 3-Layer Damping Material, Self-Adhesive

A self-adhesive three layer (4.5 mm thick) damping material consisting of 1.5 mm Butyl rubber, 0.05 mm aluminum constrained layer damping and 3 mm closed cell damping foam.

Layers consist of:

• 2 mm Butyl: The butyl thickness is increased to 2 mm to reduce sound transmission via lowering resonance frequency and improving damping whilst maintaining flexibility.
• 0.05 mm Aluminum: The foil is 0.05 mm so that it can stretch to conform well to irregular shapes.
• 3 mm Closed-Cell Acoustic Foam: The new formula 3 mm closed cell foam has improved damping to reduce noise.

USE

Designed for damping metal and removing unwanted vibration from a less than perfect enclosure (your door). The foam layer prevents buzz and rattle from things that touch like wires, door control rods, plastic trim panels, etc.

DESCRIPTION

Black Hole Mat has good drape and stretch to easily conform to irregular surfaces.
It can be used in all areas of your car to damp vibrations and reduce noise.
No heating or tools are necessary for installation. It is easily cut with scissors, knife or die.

Can be applied to every car interior surface; door skin, door inner panel to seal holes, plastic trim, trunk floor, fire wall, roof and speaker cabinet.
Self-adhesive -54 C to 150 C = -65 F to 302 F
