This 10-inch high-end sound quality subwoofer is made with an aluminum cast basket and coated paper cone. This product is designed, engineered and produced in Germany for highest sound quality demands. Built using the finest select parts and Klippel sound analysis, the result is and optimal outstanding performance.
The GZPW Reference 250 uses a linearized and Klippel® optimized motor construction to guarantee distortion-free performance. The subs moving parts are linear and free of any distortion up to an excursion of 15 mm / 0.6-inch in each direction. This was achieved through development of an extremely long voice coil and progressive surround and spider. This ensures the voice coil stays in the gap.
Other subwoofers decrease motor power to limit distortion by avoiding mechanical overload. Don't settle for less! The GZPW Reference 250 works linearly without distortion, up to its mechanical limitation of 40 mm (1.57 inches) Xmax.
Ground Zero notes, "To avoid defect, we recommend using a subsonic filter at minimum 20 Hz with minimum 24 dB slope. The lowpass filter should be set to 50-60 Hz with minimum 12 dB slope. The amplifier power should be not exceed the recommended 300-600 Watts."
