Dynamic motor analysis (DMA) optimized speakers: DMA delivers linear motor force over a wide range of speaker excursion and power levels. The result is tight, clean and articulate bass performance with ultralow distortion and stellar sound quality.
Polypropylene cone technology: Known for its durability, the W0v3 series’ injection-molded, mica-filled polypropylene cone structure with foam surround offers wide frequency response and deep, crisp bass reproduction.
Elevated frame cooling: The patented JL Audio elevated frame cooling design creates a pathway for high-velocity air to flow directly across the top plate of the speaker voice coil — cooling it for better power handling and improved reliability.
Simplified installation: The WOv3 series of subwoofers incorporates an easy-to-access push terminal design and lead-wire system woven into the spider — along with a metallic silver-finished frame that looks great in any installation. Optional steel-mesh grille inserts (sold separately) add style and protection for your subwoofer.

JL Audio notes: The enclosure recommendations listed above are external dimensions which assume the use of 3/4-inch (0.75 in; 19 mm) thick material. If you are using 5/8-inch (0.625 in; 16 mm) thick material, subtract 1/4 inch (0.25 in; 6.5 mm) from each dimension. Do not use any material with a thickness of less than 5/8ths inch (0.625 in; 16 mm) as this may compromise the rigidity of the enclosure.
JL Audio recommends the use of this in a bi-amplified system using high-quality satellites and a high-quality amplifier. They do not recommend the use of this with a passive crossover (coil), as this type of device will adversely affect performance.
